The Classic Sega Rally Twin Racing Simulator is one of those arcade machines people genuinely remember playing. We hire the original twin sit-down Sega Rally 2 Championship cabinet: two linked cockpits, each with a seat, steering wheel, pedals and its own monitor, set up for head-to-head rally racing.
This is real Sega Model 3 arcade hardware from 1998 - the sequel to the 1994 Sega Rally Championship most people over a certain age pumped coins into as teenagers. Pick your car from the fabulously polygonised roster - Ford Escort, Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corolla WRC and GT-Four, Lancia Delta and Stratos, Renault - then pick your surface: Desert, Mountain, Snow and Riviera. Practice mode lets you single out a track, while Championship is the proper timed stage run where you earn extra time by hitting each checkpoint before the clock runs out.
It's two players sat side by side, but each cockpit is also racing the rest of the computer-controlled field, so it works for one driver on their own or two mates going head to head. Force feedback on the wheel and a handbrake for the hairpins make it feel like the arcade original rather than a driving game on a telly.
Where it earns its place
The twin cockpit cabinet suits birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, Christmas and New Year's Eve parties, conferences, exhibitions and leisure events, university, college and school events, pub entertainment, church and charity events - plus corporate launches, trade show stands, freshers' fairs and after-dinner entertainment. Multi-day exhibition hire
For shows and exhibitions we love hiring this kit for more than one day, and we can run it without our staff on site for the duration once it's set up and signed off - speak to a team member about dry-hire terms and a great quote. Delivery and collection are handled by our own team in our own vehicles from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes off the A1, M1 and M18, so Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield are on the doorstep and the NEC, Manchester Central, ExCel London and Leeds First Direct Arena are regular runs.
