The range runs from the Mega Purple Slide, a giant slide that still fits a big back garden, up to The Biggest Mega Slide, 24ft to the slide platform and needing 35ft x 25ft of space. We've bought one of the largest inflatable helter skelters in the UK, Airquee-built with the classic fairground striping - the Giant Helter Skelter Slide and a square version - plus two base jump drops, the Extreme Base Jump and the Giant BASE Jump Slide, and the Double Level Giant Event Mega Slide, just like the fair.

Planning the hire

• Space and access: allow roughly 30ft x 30ft up to 35ft x 25ft of clear level ground, with gateways from 4ft to 6.6ft wide depending on the slide (3ft for the garden slide).
• Surfaces: outdoors these slides go on grass so we can peg them down - the Biggest Mega Slide can also go on hard standing using weighted ballast, and the Extreme Base Jump takes concrete, hard standing, mixed surfaces and wood chip too - while indoors it's a hard floor or artificial grass.
• Power: every mega slide hire comes with an electric blower, run off a standard 13 amp socket within about 25 metres. No mains on site? A petrol blower with four hours of fuel or a generator is available at extra cost.
• Supervision: most of these slides come with our trained staff included, so you don't need to find stewards (on the Double Level it's charged on top of the hire). For the slides you run yourselves, an adult has to watch it while it's up and the kit is your responsibility during the hire - extra event staff start at £130 for three hours.
• Paperwork: £5 million public liability on every hire, slides independently tested annually, risk assessments and safety mats provided where the surface needs them.

We've been hiring out inflatables since 1999 and we work very closely with local councils including Sheffield City Council, Doncaster Metropolitan Council and RMBC. At the Rotherham Show there were constant queues for the helter skelter and the mega slide every day of the event. The kit is owned in-house at our 25,000 sq ft warehouse near the M1 and delivered by our own team, with nationwide coverage for bigger bookings.
