Event Infrastructure and Temporary Power

Power, lighting, fencing, marquees and the rest of the unglamorous kit that makes an outdoor event work. A lot of the bookings through this category come from customers who came to us for the games and realised they also need a generator, Heras panels, cable protectors and somewhere dry to put the PA. We carry all of it in-house at our warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes from the M1, M18 and A1, and we deliver across Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop, Chesterfield and the rest of the UK.

Generators and power distribution

Diesel generators from 6 kVA up to 30 kVA, plus the Instagrid battery generator for noise-sensitive venues where you can't run a diesel set. The 30 kVA is towable so we can drop it on a tow hitch, and we hire a bunded diesel towable tank to keep it fed on longer runs. Power distribution lives in the Generator and Safety Equipment category: 32A IMST distribution boxes in 240V single-phase and 415V three-phase at £25 a unit, 1m cable protectors at £2.50 each, and a Super Silent Lighting Tower at £395 with its own generator for night works. Generator hire runs from £145 for a 6 kVA silenced diesel up to £375 for the 30 kVA towable.

Event lighting

Marquee and venue lighting from £5 a fitting: 150W LED floods pushing 12,000 lumens, 5ft and 6ft LED strip lights, IP65 non-corrosive strips for damp setups, batten LED lighting at £30, festoon string lighting at £149, and LED emergency exit and flood lights for marquees that need to pass a venue's fire spec. The floodlights, strips and festooning are event extras you can add from another product's quote basket.

Marquees, gazebos and weights

Pop-up 3x3m and 3x4.5m gazebos in black from £85, plus an 8x8ft temporary smoking shelter at £30 for venues that need one for licensing. When you're putting a marquee up on hard standing instead of grass, the 500kg concrete marquee weights at £15 hold the legs in place of pegs. Fencing and crowd control

Heras temporary fencing at £10 a panel, 2.5m concrete jersey barriers at £12.50 each, metal crowd control barriers at £10 each, and a Temporary Fencing Vehicle Access Gate Set at £25 if you need a 3m vehicle gap through the line. Indoors, Tensa retractable belt barriers at £7.50 each manage queues without taking up floor space. Most outdoor events use a mix of the lot.

Flooring, ground protection, tables and fire safety

Ground protection mats at £10 each stop vehicles churning up grass and soft ground on the load-in. Road cones come in sets from £150, and cable protectors tidy runs across walkways at £2.50 a metre. We also carry 6ft trestle tables, canteen folding tables from £7.50, foot-operated hand sanitiser stations at £29, and a Mobile Fire Point Trolley 20kg at £45 for sites that need to demonstrate a fire point to licensing. The Christmas Market Stall Hire at £295 is the seasonal pick for winter markets and German-style events.
