Our giraffe bouncy castle is for sale. It comes from our own hire fleet, it measures 14ft x 16ft, and it has been out on hire just six times. Bee Tee of Wakefield built it, one of the longest established bouncy castle manufacturers in the UK, so this is commercial-grade kit rather than a garden toy. The price is £750 + VAT.
The giraffe is what sells it. Its head and neck rise from the top of the front archway and tower over the whole unit, the sort of thing children spot from across a field. Inside, the walls carry jungle artwork with a snake, tigers and an elephant. It's rated for children and adults alike: up to 10 users under 1m tall, 8 up to 1.2m, 6 up to 1.5m and 5 adults up to 1.8m. You'll want a clear space of roughly 18ft x 15ft, and a look upwards before you pick the spot, because the giraffe's head needs more overhead clearance than a standard castle.

A word on the PIPA tag: it stays with the unit for life, and any inspector can pull up its record online. Once you own it, the annual retest is down to you, and it's the first thing venues and insurers ask to see if you plan to hire the castle out.
