The Ethel and Ernie board is a vintage British seaside face-in-the-hole - a large comic postcard of a stout couple in striped bathing costumes having a paddle, with two holes cut where their faces should be. Stand behind it, poke your head through and pose. At 100cm wide by 180cm high, with the stand included, it's the classic peep board that's been on British seafronts for decades.

It works at corporate family fun days, school fairs, weddings, charity fundraisers and town-centre events - the kind of work we run across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop, Chesterfield and the rest of the UK. Setup takes a couple of minutes and you don't need to assign anyone to run it; one of our team slots the stand together on arrival. Indoors on hard floor or artificial grass, outdoors on grass, concrete or wood chip, it'll stand on any flat ground. Outdoors in exposed spots we'd weight the stand or tuck it behind a gazebo, because it's a lightweight panel and a strong gust will tip it.

Hire is from £75 plus VAT, with an overnight option at +£25 if you need it for the following day. UK-wide delivery is available for event hire, but a minimum spend applies depending on your postcode - more on the delivery page. Collection from our Rotherham warehouse is possible too, subject to a deposit and ID.
