St. Andrew's Community Centre is the church hall and community centre on St Andrew's Square in Bolton upon Dearne, S63 8BA, in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley. The S63 postcode sits roughly between Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, with Sheffield and Worksop close by too. It shares its square with St Andrew's Church, a Grade I listed building with a Saxon nave and a twelfth-century arcade, and the hall itself is busy with community groups through the week. For parties, it's a compact indoor hall that suits children's birthdays, christenings and smaller family celebrations.
The hall
Because the room is compact, what fits matters more here than at the bigger halls. Our bouncy castles and medium bouncy slide work well, and the Bouncy Castle & Slide Deal, our most popular package, fits in this room. A children's disco dome comes with built-in Bluetooth speakers and LED lights, so the kids can run their own playlist. For younger children, a jungle soft play set or toddler soft play zone, with ball pool and mini slides, keeps things age-appropriate.
For older children and grown-ups
Older children tend to go for Whack a Mole, dance arcade machines and prize cranes. They plug into a standard 13A socket and run themselves, taking up minimal floor space, which counts in a hall this size - the simplest entertainment to bolt onto a party here. For the grown-ups we supply the Magic Selfie Mirror, photo booths and arcade games. Add a candy floss cart or popcorn cart, with an attendant included.
A disco dome plus a small games corner is a common indoor combination.
Whack a Mole takes two square metres and one 13A socket.
The prize crane is waist-height, so children can reach the controls unaided.
Booking and practicalities
We've delivered to this venue before, so we know what fits through the door, and we've been in the S63 area regularly for the past ten years - we've supplied the Bolton upon Dearne Christmas market along the way. Every hire includes delivery, setup and collection with £5 million public liability insurance, and we email the centre a risk assessment and insurance certificate before the event. We've been going since 1999, we own 95% of our kit in-house, and we hold a 5/5 Google rating from more than 200 reviews. Our warehouse is in Rotherham, about 15 minutes away, and if you'd rather not run the equipment yourself we can supply trained attendants who operate it for you.
