Holmebrook Valley Family Centre is on Wardgate Way at Holme Hall, Chesterfield, S40 4SL, on the western edge of town next to Holmebrook Valley Country Park. It's a community and family centre with a function room available to hire for children's parties, classes and community events, and its Google listing carries 4.6 from more than 900 reviews.
The function room
The function room is the usual community-hall shape - flat floor, level access from the car park, and a ceiling height worth checking before you pick a combo castle. Parking at the neighbouring country park is free, which makes drop-off and pick-up straightforward for parents. If you're not sure of the room's measurements, send them over with your enquiry and we'll tell you which castles and slides fit.
What we've delivered here
We've hired into the room on several dates: one party filled it with the large activity planet play castle and the 20x15ft mega garden slide side by side, and another brought a 15x15ft jungle castle for the older children. For a children's party in a room this size, bouncy castles, bouncy slides and soft play for toddlers are the staples, and a disco dome works well for older kids if you want the lights and music. A package combines the castle, slide and games in one quote. Every hire includes our £5 million public liability insurance, delivery, setup and collection, plus risk assessments and method statements for the centre if they ask.
Mega Garden Slide - the 20x15ft slide that fits the function room.
12x15ft Jungle Castle - quick to lay out on the hall floor.
Large Toddler Play Zone - keeps the under-fives busy while the bigger children are on the castle.
