Fill it with tickets, close the lid, give it a spin and away you go. Our tombola drum is a proper metal raffle drum in red, mounted on a stand with a wooden crank handle. You'll hear it called a raffle drum or prize draw drum as well, and it handles both jobs: an instant-win tombola at a school fete, or the main raffle draw at the end of a club fundraiser.

Where it goes
Tombolas are a fixture of school fetes, church fundraisers and charity events, and often the stall that raises the most once the drum starts spinning. Clubs use them for members' draws, they've become a feature at village-fete themed weddings, and corporate fun days use them for prize draws alongside the carnival games. A few things worth knowing before you quote: there may be a minimum spend on delivered orders depending on your location, postal hires carry a refundable £75 deposit, and warehouse collections need a deposit and ID. The full delivery picture is in the tab below.

Hire is from £25 + VAT, and every hire carries £5m public liability insurance as standard. A metal drum of this type sells for around £100 new, so if the fete is a once-a-year job, hiring usually beats finding somewhere to store one.

- Local delivery across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield. There may be a minimum spend on delivered orders depending on your location, so ask when you get your quote
- Collection from our warehouse near Rotherham is welcome; we take a deposit and ID on collections
- Outside South Yorkshire? We can send the drum by Parcelforce for £25.75 + VAT, with a £75 deposit on top of the hire fee that we refund once it's back with us. You drop it off at your local post office after the event

Good to know
Tombolas run during an event don't normally need a licence - tickets just have to be sold and drawn at the event itself, which the Gambling Commission classes as an incidental lottery.
