Our retro arcade game is a two-player cocktail cabinet - the sit-down, coffee-table shape you'd have found in a pub lounge or chip shop in the early eighties. Two players sit opposite each other and the screen flips between turns: Pac-Man one way, then Space Invaders facing the other player. If you're old enough to remember Pac-Man and Space Invaders first time round, this is the one for you.
The cabinet runs the iCade 60-in-1 board, so there are around sixty classic titles built in - Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Frogger, 1942, Bubble Bobble, Scramble and the rest. Free play, no coins or tokens needed. In many ways the simpler the game, the better; the ones with a single joystick and one button tend to be what people keep coming back to all night. Children take to them quickly, and the thirty-to-fifty-five corporate crowd who grew up on these settle straight in.
This format has been particularly popular at office Christmas parties, where a table in the corner turns into the busy bit of the room by the bar. For corporate dos we usually hire them in pairs - two arcade games from £495 per day, with extra days at £125 - and we'll happily sit one alongside an Atari Pong table or a dance machine for a proper games-room feel. We hold this stock in-house at our 25,000 sq ft Rotherham warehouse, five minutes off the A1, M1 and M18, so Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield are on the doorstep and we run arcade setups nationwide for exhibitions at venues including the NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London and Manchester Central. £5m public liability cover, owned and maintained in-house, no sub-contracted kit.

Space and power
Floor space 4ft x 6ft (1.2m x 1.8m), table-height cabinet. Allow room for two players either side, plus a stool each if you want seated play. Runs on a standard 13-amp mains plug. For outdoor events without mains supply, we can pair it with a generator from our generator and safety equipment range.
Suitability
Suitable for children and adults. Indoors on hard floors, carpet or artificial grass, and outdoors on grass or hard standing. Not suitable for outdoor concrete, mixed grass/hard standing, or wood chip surfaces.
