The Chauvet DJ EZLink Par Q6BT ILS is a wireless, battery-powered LED PAR can with 6 quad-colour (RGBA) LED chips. That fourth amber channel is the bit that matters - it lets the fixture hit warm ambers, soft oranges and natural skin tones that plain RGB uplighters cannot reach, which is why these get hired for weddings, awards dinners and entrance lighting rather than just DJ rigs.
Being 100% wireless means no cable runs across the floor, no gaffer tape corners, and no hunting for a power outlet. The internal battery runs up to 8 hours with everything on, or up to 20 hours on a single colour - easily enough for a full evening event with the room lit. Recharge time is 4 hours, and the fittings come out to you already charged.
Control is from your smartphone or tablet via the BTAir app over Bluetooth 4.2, with a 150ft (45.7m) range. There is no separate DMX desk to hire or learn. For a larger show, the fittings take DMX too (4 or 8 channels, 3-pin XLR) and support wireless master/slave via D-Fi USB, so one fixture can drive a roomful of them in sync.
We hold these in sets of 6, but any quantity is fine. A set of 6 will uplight most village hall walls; larger rooms simply take more.
