The Equinox RGB Power Batten is a metre-long colour bar packing 240 RGB LEDs split into 8 individually controllable segments. Point one up a wall for a soft colour wash, run a row along a stage edge for chase effects, or let the sound-active mode do the work and the lights move and change in time with the music. When we supply them alongside one of our sound systems we sync the two, which does a lot for a dance floor - there is a video on this page showing the result.
Onboard features include full RGB colour mixing to create soft washes from a rich palette, several chase programs selectable from the control panel along with brightness and speed, 0-100% dimming and variable strobe. If you are running a proper lighting desk they take DMX too, with 2, 3, 4, 7, 14 or 26 selectable channels depending on how much control you want over the segments.
For a run of battens along a wall, power and DMX daisy-chain from unit to unit via IEC and 3-pin XLR through-connectors, so one feed at the end of the row keeps the whole set going. Master/slave mode keeps a set of them changing together without a lighting desk - handy when there is no tech on the job. The bracket allows rigging on stands or truss, or floor standing, and the unit is convection cooled with no fan noise.

Practical Details
- Price: £30 excluding VAT (£36.00 including VAT) per batten.
- Power: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 30W draw per unit. Daisy-chainable via IEC through-connectors so a run of battens needs only one wall feed.
- Surfaces: the page suitability matrix lists indoor and outdoor use on every surface. Note that the unit has no formal IP weatherproof rating, so for permanent outdoor exposure we would suggest our 150W LED Floodlight or Festoon Lighting instead.
- Setup: delivery, rigging and collection included. We position and angle each batten to your venue layout, and can sync them to your sound system.
- Minimum spend: £50 for any delivered order plus delivery cost. Collection from our Rotherham warehouse is available instead, subject to a deposit and photo ID.
