Montgomery Hall is a community theatre and events venue on Church Street in Wath upon Dearne, S63 7RD, run by a small charity with its own box office, theatre programme and theatre school. The main auditorium seats 250 on retractable tiered seating, with a large stage and a wooden dance floor that opens up when the seats are pulled back. There is a licensed bar, a free car park, and a smaller meeting room at the rear. The hall hosts everything from birthday parties and wedding receptions to christenings, charity nights and corporate events.
The auditorium
The retractable seating is what makes the room work for parties: folded away, you get an open floor the size of a small tennis court with the stage as a backdrop, and the hall has its own lighting and sound rig if your event needs it. For children's parties and family celebrations the floor takes our indoor bouncy castles and the children's disco dome comfortably. A toddler soft play zone or one of our themed soft play sets fits alongside a castle without taking over the room, and older kids tend to prefer Whack a Mole, the prize crane, dance machines and other arcade games.
Weddings and gala evenings
For adult parties, weddings and gala dinners we supply the Magic Selfie Mirror, the 360 photo booth and the AI photo booth, along with fun food carts including candy floss, popcorn and the hot chocolate machine. The hall's own PA covers most evenings, but if you need extra we hire Bluetooth PA speakers and full PA systems as well.
Booking and practicalities
We're in Wath and the surrounding S63 villages most weekends, and we've been delivering across the area since 2016. Every hire includes delivery, setup and collection, we email the hall a risk assessment and insurance certificate before the event, and every booking carries £5 million public liability insurance. We own 95% of our kit in-house, we've been going since 1999, and we hold a 5/5 Google rating from more than 200 reviews. Our warehouse is in Rotherham, about 15 minutes away, and if you'd rather not run the equipment yourself we can supply trained attendants who operate it for you.
If the auditorium is taken on your date, Christ Church Hall is just over a kilometre away on the other side of Wath, and we deliver there as well.
