Thurcroft Community Hall

Thurcroft Welfare Community Hall is on Katherine Road in Thurcroft, the former mining village south-east of Rotherham. The hall dates back to 1925 and is run as a registered charity. The main hall is a large open room with a wooden floor, a stage and air conditioning, holding up to 192 standing or around 120 seated. There is a licensed bar room, a side room for the buffet, a kitchen, accessible toilets with baby changing, step-free access and free parking on site, and a bowling green in the grounds.

Dance schools and arts groups use the hall week in, week out, and it hosts weddings, birthday parties, christenings, anniversaries and community events. The venue can provide the bar, a disco and a hot or cold buffet alongside your room hire, and external caterers are welcome too.

For children's parties, our indoor bouncy castles and disco domes fit well in the main hall, with space alongside for a toddler soft play zone for the youngest guests. Older kids tend to go for a Whack a Mole, dance arcade machine or prize crane. For weddings and adult celebrations, a magic selfie mirror or 360 photo booth makes a good addition, and the fun food machines cover the candy floss and popcorn.
