DIY PA System Instructions

These are the setup instructions for the DIY PA, the Peavey Escort 2000 portable sound system we hire out. The five steps below cover the speakers, microphone, music source and power.

Step 1. Connect the speakers to the mixer. The left speaker cord plugs into the "Left Output" jack and the right speaker plugs into the "Right Output" jack.

Step 2. Plug the microphone into the "Mic In" port in "Channel 1." If you have additional microphones, plug them into the "Mic In" ports on any of the remaining channels.

Step 3. Connect an external iPod/iPhone/laptop or CD player to the mixer by plugging the audio cords into the "Left" and "Right" ports under "Aux In." These ports are located under "Channel 5."

Step 4. Record sound from the mixer by plugging the audio wires from an iPod/iPhone/laptop or CD recorder into the "Left" and "Right" ports under "Aux Out." These ports are located under "Channel 5."

Step 5. Place the power cord in the power jack on the back of the mixer, and plug the opposite end into an electrical outlet.
