The Gladiator Duel is a two-player inflatable joust - the kind of game the Gladiators TV show called Duel. Two contestants put on padded headguards, climb onto opposite podiums and swing padded pugil sticks at each other until one of them lands on the inflatable bed below. Children and adults can both play, and the kit comes with two padded headguards and two pugil sticks so it's ready to run as soon as we inflate it.
One bout lasts seconds, so the queue moves quickly and the game gets through a lot of guests in a session. School fun days, corporate team-building, weddings, birthdays, fetes and charity fundays are the typical bookings.
The inflatable is 18ft square and 9ft high, and it runs on a single 13-amp socket within 25 metres of where you want it set up. We bring the inflatable, blower, two padded pugil sticks and two padded headguards. Indoors it goes on a sports-hall floor, artificial grass or hard standing. Outdoors it needs grass; we can't set it up on concrete, on hard standing, on a mix of grass and hard surface, or on wood chip. If there's no mains within reach we can bring a generator for an extra charge.
We ship from a warehouse five minutes off the M1 in Rotherham, so Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield are short delivery runs, and the rest of the UK is well within reach for larger bookings. We've been hiring inflatables since 1999, we own 95% of our stock in-house - this Gladiator Duel included - and every hire is backed by £5 million public liability insurance, with risk assessments and method statements sent to your venue before the day.

What's included
Price includes free local delivery, set up and collection between 8am and 6pm, plus a risk assessment and method statement if your venue needs one. We carry £5 million public liability insurance on every hire.
Overnight hire
Keep the Gladiator Duel overnight for an extra £25. The fee is per property rather than per inflatable, so it covers any other items you've hired overnight at the same address on the same booking. Add it from the extras step at the time of booking. You're responsible for the safe keeping of any hire equipment in your possession during the hire period.
Supervision
All DB inflatables must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. If you can't provide your own, we can supply a trained event attendant for an additional charge - add the option in the extras step when you build your quote.
Power supply
We provide an electric blower for this inflatable. We need a 240-volt mains supply (standard household socket) within 25 metres of the set-up area. If there's no mains on site, we can supply a 240V / 3kVA mobile generator - see our generator hire range for the current price list.
