The Juvenile Formula is our children's convoy ride: a fleet of little themed vehicles circling an oval track. Children choose from race cars, trucks and vintage taxis, alongside a Mack truck, a fire engine and a pair of motorbikes, climb in behind the wheel and set off - and for a lap or two they get to feel like a Formula One champion. For plenty of them it's their first go on a fairground ride.
The pace is deliberately gentle. The ride runs at a steady speed with no overtaking and no sudden stops, so first-timers and nervous riders settle in within half a lap, and parents get the photo of their child behind the wheel that ends up framed on the mantelpiece. One recent customer, John Hays, put it like this after an event with over 800 kids: the team that worked on the rides and bouncy castle worked well. He's one of more than 200 Google reviewers rating us 5 out of 5.
Space and setup
The ride measures 20ft by 20ft and stands 12ft high; allow a clear 25ft by 25ft for safe setup, plus 12ft of headroom if it's going indoors. It works on grass, concrete, artificial grass, hard standing or wood chip, indoors or out. We deliver, build, run and supervise it with our own staff, and we take it down again at the end. Every hire carries £5 million public liability insurance, and we've been putting on fairground rides since 1999.
Where it goes
We're based in Rotherham, five minutes from the M1, and most weekends you'll find our kit at school fetes and family fundays around Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Chesterfield, with corporate family days and other bigger bookings taking us nationwide. The Formula sits alongside the rest of our Fun Fairs range - the Jumpin Jack juvenile, Juvenile Chair O Planes, Juvenile Mini Waltzes and, for the bigger events, a Ferris Wheel. No power where you're holding the fete? We hire diesel generators - see our Generator and Safety Equipment range.
Hit the green Get A Quote button to add the Juvenile Formula to your quote and we'll get back to you the same day. Not sure it'll fit your venue? Send the measurements through our enquiry form and we'll tell you straight away.
Measurements: the ride is 20ft x 20ft and 12ft high. Allow a 25ft x 25ft footprint for safe setup.
