We bring the fair to you, and the Juvenile Mini Waltzes is the smallest way we do it. It's a proper children's waltzer, the classic spinning fairground ride scaled down until a school field, a village gala or the office car park on a corporate fun day can take it. The tub cars spin as they travel round the platform, each painted with cartoon characters the children will recognise, and the bulb-lit totems and star-print skirt give it the full fairground look.
It's built for children, tubs and all, so adults don't ride this one. If the teenagers and grown-ups need something too, the full-size Waltzer is the same classic at fairground scale from £2,995, and our Dodgems take all ages. The mini waltzer is the one that fits inside a school hall, where the dodgems need the field outside.
What the hire includes
The ride arrives on its own trailer with a trained operator who runs it for the full hire, normally a four-hour session. It's self-contained on power, so there's no mains supply to find on site, and we can add floodlighting at no extra charge if your event runs into the evening. Hire starts at £495 plus VAT, and some locations carry a minimum spend, so it's worth checking your postcode with us early.
Allow about 25ft by 25ft of clear space for a unit standing 20ft by 20ft and 12ft high. It goes on grass or hard standing, indoors or outdoors. No field? A school hall or sports hall with a 12ft ceiling does the job, so the ride works at winter fetes and Christmas events as well as summer fairs. The one thing to sort out early is access, because it's trailer-mounted and the towing vehicle needs to reach the spot.
School to school, gala to gala
The mini waltzer has spent whole seasons on that run, usually out with the Juvenile Jump and Smile, which is the same size and the same £495 starting price. One of the biggest private funfair hires we've ever done was a two-day Scout event with the dodgems, the Miami, the Twister, the Chair O Planes, the trampolines and both junior rides running alongside the event catering.
It's one of ten junior rides now, everything from Tea Cups to Flying Planes, so a family fun day covers every age without a second big ride. Through the season they work the school fairs and galas around Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, and the bigger multi-ride jobs take it anywhere in the UK.
Why book it from us
We've been hiring event kit out of Rotherham since 1999, and 95% of what you see on this site is our own stock, this waltzer included. Every hire carries £5 million public liability insurance, and the risk assessments and method statements your school or council will ask for go to the venue before the event, not on the day. A mini waltzer on its own is fine for a small party; most funfair bookings build a fair around one. The side stalls are £295 each, coconut shy, hook a duck, tin can alley and the rest, and candy floss next to the ride brings the smell of the fair with it.
