A traditional British fairground side stall - the coconut shy (sometimes written "coconut shie"). Players throw wooden balls at real whole coconuts balanced on posts; knock one off cleanly and it's yours. We use genuine coconuts rather than plastic replicas.
The stall runs on our own red and white striped pop-up gazebo with a waist-high striped front barrier and a freestanding five-coconut target stand. It sets up indoors or outdoors on pretty much any surface. Children and adults can both play.
We've run it for Doncaster Scouts weekends, school fetes, weddings and town-centre events. Our core delivery area is Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield, with nationwide hauls for bigger bookings. We've been hiring fairground side stalls since 1999, own nearly all our kit in-house, and every booking carries our £5 million public liability.
Winners get novelty sweets as standard. Real coconuts as take-home prizes are £40 per batch of 50, ordered before the day. Premium swag prizes start at £1.50 + VAT each. The stall pairs well with Hoopla, Hook A Duck, Tin Can Alley and the rest of our side games.
