Two players climb into oversized padded sumo suits, strap on the helmets, and try to wrestle each other off the mat. The first person to touch down with anything other than the soles of their feet loses. The padding absorbs the falls, so even when someone goes down it's soft.
We supply the full set: two adult suits with helmets, plus a padded ring or crash mats for the floor. It needs a flat 15ft x 15ft area and no power, so it works in a village hall, a marquee or a back garden. This set is adults only. We have a separate set of children's sumo suits for younger players, and kangaroo boxing (from £199) if oversized boxing gloves sound more your thing.
Stag dos, hen dos, adult birthdays and team building days are where these go out most. One hen do hired the suits alongside an assault course and tug of war - "We even had the hens in sumo suits whilst our butler in the buff led the games", Skyhi Creative said.
They're also part of our Action Package (from £499), which bundles the suits with gladiator duel, pillow bash, bouncy boxing and space hoppers. Or you can mix and match individual items from the corporate entertainment range.
We've been hiring this kit out for over 25 years and own 95% of our equipment in-house. Indoors, the suits fit most sports halls and village halls; we've supplied them at The Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall in Thurcroft and in halls across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley, and we travel nationwide for bigger bookings. Every hire includes £5 million public liability insurance, and we can email a risk assessment to you or your venue before the day.

Space & Power
15ft wide x 15ft long x 6ft high, on a flat surface. No power required. Indoors on artificial grass or a hard floor; outdoors on grass or a hard surface, with the mats underneath. Not outdoors on bare concrete, on a grass-and-hard-standing mix, or on wood chip.
Staffing
A responsible adult (18+) supervises at all times. If you'd rather not run it yourselves, we can supply a trained attendant to run the activity - just ask when you get in touch.
Price
From £149 including VAT (£124.17 + VAT). There may be a minimum spend depending on where your event is.
Available overnight for an extra £25 - the flat fee covers overnight hire across all items on your booking. Select it in the extras section when booking.
