Rawmarsh High Street Centre occupies the former Rawmarsh Wesleyan Methodist Church on High Street, S62 6LN, about three miles north of Rotherham town centre. Foundation stones were laid at Easter 1907 and the building opened as a Methodist church in 1908; it was redeveloped in 1976 with a hall, kitchen and meeting rooms on the ground floor and the first-floor hall kept for worship. Today it's a charity-run community centre with two large halls and smaller meeting rooms for private hire.
The rooms
Seven rooms are available, and wifi runs through the building. The Lower Hall and the Kitchen and Hall are the big spaces for parties, at £135 and £210 a day, and the five smaller rooms - New, Green, Blue, Conference and Garden - run from £60 to £135 a day, several with their own beverage facilities and the Conference Room carrying a presentation screen and hearing loop. Bookings are taken Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Getting in
Access is easy: a ramped entrance, a platform lift to the first floor, free parking with three Blue Badge bays, and an accessible toilet. Do confirm ceiling height with the centre before booking any inflatable - the halls are generous but the building is a century old.
Children's parties
For children's parties, the children's disco dome combines a bouncy castle with LED lights and a Bluetooth speaker in one unit. Toddler parties work well with our soft play sets in jungle, pirate and princess themes, or a toddler soft play zone with ball pool and mini slide. For older kids, try a Whack a Mole, the prize crane or the penalty shootout.
Adult parties and family celebrations
For adult parties, christenings and community fundraisers we supply the 360 photo booth, the Magic Selfie Mirror and the Batak Pro reaction game. The smaller meeting rooms suit giant games like Giant Connect 4 and Giant Jenga for a more relaxed setup.
Booking and practicalities
We've been delivering in and around Rawmarsh most weekends since 2016, and our Rotherham warehouse is about ten minutes away. Every hire includes delivery, setup and collection with £5 million public liability insurance, and we email the centre a risk assessment and insurance certificate before the event. We own 95% of our kit in-house, we've been going since 1999, and we hold a 5/5 Google rating from more than 200 reviews. If you'd rather not run the equipment yourself, we can supply trained attendants who operate it for you.
