Abbeydale Sports Club is a multi-sport venue in Dore, south-west Sheffield, home to cricket, hockey, squash and rugby teams who share the Abbeydale Park grounds, along with grass pitches, an astro pitch and a lawn bowls green. Events run upstairs in the Abbey Function Suite, which seats around 130 guests with room for more standing, complete with its own private bar, a DJ booth and a balcony overlooking the pitches. There's lift access for wheelchair users, free parking for around 100 cars, and Dore & Totley station is a five-minute walk. Suite hire starts from £100, and smaller rooms like the Legends Room, with its private patio above the cricket pitch, take up to 50 people.
We deliver to Abbeydale regularly, so we know what fits where. A bouncy castle goes indoors in the function suite, and when the weather behaves there's plenty of room across the grounds for larger inflatables and hot tubs in the warmer months.
Children's birthday parties indoors usually mean bouncy castles, a disco dome or soft play sets in princess, pirate and jungle themes, while older children and adults tend to pick photo booths like the AI photo booth, or a few rounds on our arcade games.
Out on the pitches we can set up sport inflatables such as the Penalty Shootout, rodeo bulls and hot tub evenings, or fun fair rides come summer. For adult parties, weddings and corporate functions there's the Magic Selfie Mirror, Batak Pro reaction games and PA and music packages, and if part of your day is outside we can add marquees, staging, festoon lighting and generators.
All hire includes delivery, setup and collection, we carry £5 million public liability insurance on every booking, and 95% of the kit we bring is owned in-house, so there are no subcontractors to chase. We're based in Rotherham, about 20 minutes from Dore, working across Sheffield, Worksop, Chesterfield, Barnsley and Doncaster every week, with nationwide delivery for bigger bookings.
