12 December 2022 - Christmas Party Fun Hire

Office and works parties are where most of our December kit ends up, and the same handful of items does the heavy lifting every year: reaction games, arcade cabinets, photo booths, a disco dome for the later hours and, increasingly, a hot tub in the car park. What do you actually need? One or two head-to-head games, one photo item and one late-evening fixture - here is what each one is, what comes with it and where it fits in the night. It all comes off our own shelves in Rotherham and travels in our own vans, we have been doing this since 1999, and and the 209 Google reviews average a clean five stars.

The games that fill the first hour

A whack a snowman game is our festive reskin of whack a mole - two players with tethered foam mallets, lit snowman pads and a digital scoreboard, free play so nobody needs change. A Batak Snowball Smash is a genuine Batak Pro under a winter wrap: twelve numbered LED targets, 30-second rounds and twin score displays, and it keeps a queue moving because a round is over before the small talk runs out. Both are quick to learn, which matters when half the room has never seen the game before.

Arcade for the quieter stretches

The retro arcade game is a two-player cocktail cabinet running around sixty classic titles - Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders - on free play. Two people sit at it together, so it doubles as a seated corner away from the disco, and the simpler titles get the longest queues. The prize crane grabber is the louder cousin: fill it with your own vouchers or branded merch and set the win rate from prize-every-time up to a proper challenge. It is the one that draws a crowd all night at the busiest dos.

Photo booths with prints in hand

Our traditional photo booth is the enclosed curtain booth, and the hire includes a trained staff member all night, unlimited prints, a prop box and digital copies of every shot on a memory stick within 14 days. It comes as up to four hours, with extra part-hours at £75+VAT. The magic selfie mirror is the open-plan version - a full-length mirror in a gold frame that prints about ten seconds after the pose and copes with 40 sessions an hour at a busy do.

The disco dome and the late hours

A disco dome is a fully enclosed inflatable with a bounce floor, a Bluetooth PA and an LED light show, built for grown-ups as much as kids. You connect your own phone or USB stick - we do not supply the music, so it is your playlist, for better or worse - and the design keeps the door open while in use, which the bouncier end of the evening appreciates.

Hot tubs for the hardy

We hire 6 to 8-seater hot tubs and deluxe models across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Worksop, and they turn up at works parties more than you would think, usually as the fixture people gravitate to outside while the disco runs inside. They need level ground, a water supply and a power socket, and they book out early over the Christmas and new year period - one reviewer noted we were fully booked over Christmas and new year, and that was the only complaint in a five-star review. Add an infrared heater or two to the quote if the queue outside is meant to last all night.

What is included across the board

Every hire comes with delivery, set-up and breakdown by our own team, cover to the tune of £5 million public liability, and the risk assessment in your hands before you commit. Operators come with the games that need them; attendants for anything else can be added from the extras list when you get a quote, or the office on 0114 345 0135 will price the whole lot in one go.
