Everything we hire out comes out of one 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, with the M1, A1 and M18 all within a few minutes' drive. From that single base we run two very different delivery jobs: bouncy castles, hot tubs and garden games going out across South Yorkshire every day, and event crews travelling the length of the country with climbing walls, assault courses and exhibition games for bigger bookings.
Where do we deliver?
Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop, Chesterfield and the towns around them get a van most days - over a hundred postcode districts in all, from S1 in the middle of Sheffield out to the Hope Valley villages over the Derbyshire border. The full postcode list sits on our delivery page, and the area selector there shows what delivery costs for your district before you commit to anything.
What does delivery cost?
The cost of getting to you appears when you pick your area, so you see it before you pay a deposit. A small additional charge applies outside our normal delivery area, and the selector shows that too. For bigger jobs outside South Yorkshire - a corporate fun day, a school rewards day, an exhibition stand - our event division travels UK-wide, with a £999 minimum order. The minimum exists because a lorry, a crew and a day's driving cost the same for one rodeo bull as they do for a full field of kit.
Nationwide events from a South Yorkshire base
The nationwide side has run out of the same warehouse since 1999, and three motorways on the doorstep puts most of England within a morning's drive. The kit that goes long-distance is the kit built for it: a Mobile Climbing Wall running on auto-belay systems, Dodgems, assault courses up to 220ft long, and the exhibition game hire range - Batak reaction walls, prize cranes and the rest - that we set up on trade stands at the NEC in Birmingham, ExCeL in London and Manchester Central. Exhibition work now has its own dedicated site at exhibitiongamehire.co.uk, if that is the job you are planning.
Some of that travel is repeat business for names you'll recognise: Amazon, Specsavers and the NHS among them, plus Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster councils for community events. The Google reviews read 5 out of 5 across 209 of them at the last count, and reviewers tend to name the crew - Graham, Kane, Tom and Dean come up a fair bit.
What we sort out before the van leaves
The vans are ours and so is the crew, so the people who build the kit in the warehouse are the ones who anchor and wire it at your venue. Every inflatable goes out PIPA tested annually and the climbing and ropes kit is RPII inspected. The risk assessments and method statements land in your inbox - or your venue's - before the day, which the safety teams appreciate, and public liability cover runs to £5m with indemnity to principal when our staff stay on site. If a job needs power we bring generators, and on grass we bring the safety fencing. Delivery times are arranged during the booking process, so you know whether the van arrives the evening before or the morning of.
The limits, stated plainly. We need adequate space and proper access, and the site needs clearing of mess and debris before we arrive; if an item cannot be sited because the space or the access will not take it, that one is on the hirer. If we cannot make a delivery because of weather, vehicle failure or illness, we tell you at the earliest opportunity and refund in full. Outside the listed postcodes we can often still help, but not always - worth asking before you promise a client or a head teacher.
Not sure whether we reach you? Put your postcode district into the area selector on the delivery page, or ring 0114 345 0135 - whoever picks up will have run that route before, and you'll get a straight answer about what the trip involves.
