A mechanical bull that bucks, spins, and throws you off. Grab the horns, hold on, and try to last longer than everyone else while our operator gradually winds the speed up.
A digital timer on the front tracks each ride, so the whole room knows exactly who's on top. We run leaderboards through the event and hand out certificates for the top riders, which gives corporate do's and birthday parties alike a competitive edge that keeps people coming straight back for another go. On a typical 3-hour hire you'll get through 40 to 60 riders, depending how brave the crowd is.
Our operator runs the lot from a handheld unit and dials the difficulty per rider. A nervous first-timer gets a gentle warm-up; the colleague who reckons they're a natural gets the full treatment. Either way, when they come off (and they will), they land on a cushioned inflatable bed with safety matting around the outside. As Carlton Youth Centre put it after their booking: "What a great experience the young people had with the rodeo bull."
We've been running rodeo bulls at events for over 25 years. We own the kit, maintain it in-house at our Rotherham warehouse, and put a trained DB operator on every hire. Clients including Amazon, Specsavers, and councils across South and West Yorkshire book us because everything's handled from one end to the other - delivery, setup, £5 million public liability insurance, risk assessments, method statements. One supplier, one invoice. We're minutes from Sheffield and Rotherham, handy for the M1, M18 and A1, and we deliver nationwide to London, Birmingham, Manchester and beyond. Minimum rider age is 10 (minimum height 1.1m). For younger children aged 3+, we have Billy the Bull, a gentler bucking bronco that doesn't spin - the right choice for nursery and infant events.
Want a different theme? We carry a stack of attachments that swap onto the same base unit: a rodeo sheep, a surfboard, a giant football, plus seasonal options for Christmas (rodeo pudding) and Halloween (rodeo pumpkin). Ask us about a Wild West or themed package when you book.

What You Get
Rodeo bull with inflatable surround, electric inflator, large digital timer, trained DB operator for the full hire, safety matting, power cable up to 50m, £5 million public liability insurance, risk assessments and method statements. Standard hire is 3 hours, with additional hours at £60/hr. That rate is for a standard single-rodeo booking; if the bull is one item in a bigger multi-product event, we quote the extra crew time as part of your overall quote so nothing surprises you on the day.
Competitions
The digital timer is large enough for the whole room to see. We can run a leaderboard across the event and provide certificates for the top riders. If you want a more structured competition - heats, finals, prize-giving - let us know when you book and we'll set it up.
Setup
We need a clear flat area of 18ft x 18ft (about 5.5m x 5.5m) with at least 10ft of clear height overhead, a minimum 3ft 3in (1m) access through any doorways or gates, and 2x standard 13A sockets within 25m. Works indoors and outdoors. No mains power on site? We supply generators - add one during booking under "Generators and Safety Equipment" in the Extras drop-down.
Riders
One rider at a time. Minimum age 10, minimum height 1.1m. Our operator assesses each rider and adjusts the difficulty accordingly - the same bull plays gently for a timid 10-year-old and properly tests a confident adult. For children aged 3 to 9, Billy the Bull is the alternative.
Not Suitable For
Outdoor use on concrete, on grass/hard-surface mixes, or over wood chip - the inflatable bed needs a flat, forgiving surface. Steep slopes and uneven ground won't work either; flag the site when you enquire and we'll talk you through it.
On the Day
We arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your start time. Select standard drop-off (before 12pm) and collection (after 6pm) to avoid extra delivery charges, and note your preferred 3-hour window in the customer comments. Staff work until 10pm as standard; later finishes by arrangement. Free PA system and floodlights on request for evening events.
Delivery
We deliver from Rotherham (5 minutes from the A1, M1 and M18) and cover the whole of the UK. South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester are our core area, but we regularly run rodeo bulls to London, Birmingham, the NEC, ExCel and further afield.
