Most of the trade calls these boxes distros, and this is the three-phase one. Take a 32A 415V feed off one of our larger diesel generators or a venue three-phase supply, plug in the red 5-pin inlet, and you get three separate 32A 230V outputs, each one protected by its own 30mA RCBO.
That setup earns its keep when you're running serious kit. Spread a PA rig, lighting truss and catering across the three ways instead of hanging everything off one circuit, and if a fault trips one way the other two stay live. Fully loaded, the unit carries up to roughly 22kVA across the three phases, around 7kW down each output.
The internals are built by PCE in Austria on their IMST chassis, the same gear sound and lighting crews use across Europe. Shock-resistant polyamide case, steel folding carry handle, stackable so units store tidily, and an IP44 splashproof rating with a clear cover over the breakers, so running it outdoors in British weather is normal work. At 2.7kg one person can carry it from van to position.
