A cable protector ramp is the standard fix for a power lead, hose or data cable that has to cross ground people walk over. Lay the black rubber base over the run, flip the hinged yellow lid open, drop the cable in, and foot traffic crosses the top instead of the cable. The same kit gets sold as a cable ramp, cable bridge or cable cover.
