A 2.5m concrete jersey barrier, sometimes listed as a K-rail or barrier block, is a 1.3-tonne precast concrete unit for stopping vehicles, securing sites and routing traffic. Each one measures 2500 x 610 x 830mm and weighs around 1,300kg, so once a block is set down, it stays there.
Most of the enquiries we get for blocks like this are security-led: guarding premises and compounds, standing between temporary buildings and passing traffic, or putting an anti-vehicle perimeter round a site. The same block splits up car park bays, directs vehicles through outdoor areas and sections off hard-standing space, and we've supplied runs for everything from a pub turning car park into a beer garden to event perimeters under our Martyn's Law planning notes. One recent install had several runs channelling delivery traffic away from staff marquees at an Amazon distribution site.

The quoted price is per block on collection from our main base in Rotherham, where we've got full loading facilities, and we're happy to quote transport instead if you'd rather we brought them out. Deliveries run same-day, next-day or rapid response depending on the job, covering Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop, Chesterfield and UK-wide sites, with a lower weekly rate the longer the hire goes on. We've been supplying kit for events and sites for over 25 years, every hire carries £5 million public liability insurance, and we can send risk assessments before the lorry arrives if your site manager wants the paperwork first.
