Axe Throwing (Safe)

Real axe throwing is everywhere now, from stag dos to team building nights, but the urban clubs come with minimum ages, waiver forms and fenced-off lanes, and steel blades never passed our own risk assessments. This game keeps the good part: a dartboard-style bristle target, light foam and plastic axes and a red-versus-blue grudge match. And because the faces are bristle rather than velcro, every decent throw sticks instead of sliding off halfway down.

You get two matching targets on free-standing frames, so two players face off at once, red axes against blue. Land closest to the bullseye and the round is yours, and the house rules are yours too - points races across an afternoon, knockout tournaments between departments, or however casual you want it.

Because nothing is sharp, children and adults compete on level terms. The frames stand happily on any surface we offer, indoors on hall floors or outside on grass, concrete and wood chip.
