Sports Day Complete with Compare is DB's full old-school sports day in a box - every classic race from your school sports day, run end to end by our compere (an MC who hosts, refs and hands out the medals). Children and adults both get stuck in, so it works just as well for a school fun day in Sheffield or Rotherham as it does for a corporate team building day in Doncaster, Barnsley or Worksop, and we travel nationwide.
Fifteen races and games
You get the full set: Egg & Spoon, Welly Wanging, Three-Legged Race, Wheelbarrow Race, Hula Hoop Racing, 100m Sprint, Tug of War, Relay Race, Bean Bag Race, Caterpillar Tracks, Skipping Race, Sack Race, Tyre Run, Space Hopper Racing and Office Hurdles. A few of these live as standalone attractions too - Tug of War, Space Hoppers Grand National, It's a Knockout Crazy Caterpillars, It's a Knockout Giant Skis and It's a Knockout Giant Sack Racing - if you want to scale any of them up for a bigger crowd.
We run the whole thing
The compere and our event crew set up, marshal and trophy-give every event from start to finish, so you don't have to. Kit includes our own 3x3m mini marquee, mini PA with wireless mic, table, lane cones, rubber eggs (12) and spoons, medals, wellies (6), skipping ropes (6), space hoppers (4), hula hoops, bean bags, kids' sumo suits, a play parachute, small sacks (10) and two giant sacks, foam javelin, plastic stilt walkers (6), tug of war rope, timer, caterpillar tubes, whistle, giant and small tennis balls, rounders bat, foam balls and giant skis. Almost all of it is our own in-house stock - 25+ years in the business, 95% of the kit on this site owned outright, and £5M public liability as standard.
Where it works
Suitable for children and adults, indoors on artificial grass or outdoors on a real grass field. It is not suitable on hard standings - concrete, tarmac, wood chip or a grass-and-hard mix - because several of the races need grass to run and land on. So pick a park lawn, a school field or a sports hall with artificial turf. Risk assessments and method statements go to your venue ahead of the day.
