Virtual Bowling is our short-lane ten-pin game built around real bowling balls and a video lane. You roll an actual ball down a wooden-effect lane, and built-in sensors read its speed and line to knock down the on-screen pins. No pinsetter, no full-size alley, no pair of hire shoes - it captures the music, lights and scoreboard atmosphere of ten-pin bowling in a compact, self-contained unit that's quick to set up.
Up to six players can compete at once, and you get two balls a frame to knock down as many pins as you can. Roll it clean into the pocket or watch it drop into the bunker - the highest scorer of the day takes the bragging rights. Add our magnetic leader board and the competition more or less runs itself, with people coming back between turns to topple the standing score.
We've hired this game into all sorts of events - corporate parties, office and works dos, family competition days, birthdays and private parties. At Bramall Lane in Sheffield it ran as part of a private corporate function, and in Liverpool we used it to pull footfall onto an exhibition stand, where the scoreboard gave visitors a reason to stop and a reason to come back. It pairs well with other reaction and arcade games in our exhibition game hire range, like Batak Pro, Atari Pong and Strike a Light, when you're building a multi-game lineup.
