Our line array systems are dB Technologies rigs, DVA and VIO cabinets flown from truss or ground-stacked on subs, for events where ordinary PA speakers run out of puff. They run from 10kW up to 30kW, and the £695 starting price covers a 14kW stacked system.
The boxes hang in a curved column, so you can aim the sound at the back of a site without deafening the front rows. Indoors, a rig will reach up to 4,000 people; outdoors we spec it for 2,000-3,000 when the job is announcements and background music. That covers most fun days, sponsored walks and smaller festivals.
Where the rig has worked
Many of the photos here are Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk stages, delivered with our sister company Staging Events. Between us we've put on more than 40 of them across the UK, and one of the shots was taken mid-warm-up in the rain. Rachael Thomas, hiring for a different charity walk, said: "Hired 7 gazebos, PA system and a branded gantry for a charity event - sponsored walk for the Children's Hospital Charity".
DJs and comperes
If you need a voice with it, we have a selection of the UK's best DJs and comperes, and they'll keep the day flowing, make the important announcements and get your participants onto whatever else you've hired. They're used to open-air mass participation events, sponsored walks and runs especially, and we specialise in outdoor family fun days and corporate events.
What the price covers
The £695 is for the PA system on its own. The DJ in the main photo is standing on one of our mini stages, which isn't included in that price but can be added as a package deal. PA towers are available at extra cost when there's nothing on site to fly the rig from. For smaller events, the large PA options rig may be the better fit; tell us the crowd size and we'll point you at the right one.
We've been hiring PA and staging out of Rotherham for over 25 years. Most of this work is around Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield, and the Memory Walk stages have taken the rigs right across the UK. Book a stage with the PA and it goes on the quote at a package rate; our stage hire in Sheffield and stage hire in Rotherham pages show the local options.
Line arrays are quoted per event, so hit the green button with your site and crowd size, or call us on 0114 345 0135, and we'll come back to you the same day.
