The Extreme Human Hungry Hippo is our redesigned follow-up to the original Human Hungry Hippos hire - the classic board game played out full size, with the players as the hippos. Four of you play at a time, each in a bungee harness in your own colour corner of the arena, with a pit of plastic balls in the middle.
The aim of the game is simple: collect as many balls as you can from the central pit and get them back to your hungry hippo pouch. The bungee makes every stretch a fight, and if you overreach or lose your balance you soon end up back at the start point with nothing to show for it. Test your strength and speed, and see who leaves with the title of hungriest hippo.
Children and adults can both play, and the game is as funny to watch as it is to take part in. The game has gone out to carnivals, school fetes, corporate fun days, scout events and birthday parties, and it's a popular pick for It's A Knockout days and team building. It went out alongside our magic selfie mirror and Batak Pro to a summer event in Rotherham, and it pairs well with the Ultimate Wipeout or the Bungee Run if you're building a bigger day.
Every hire is run by a trained DB Entertainment staff member and covered by our £5 million public liability insurance, and the unit is safety tested annually. Once you've booked, we can forward the risk assessments and any other paperwork your venue or council needs. We've been running events like this for more than 25 years.

We're based between Rotherham and Sheffield, five minutes from the M1, M18 and A1, so school fetes in Doncaster, birthday parties in Barnsley and scout camps near Worksop are all local runs for us. Larger packages go nationwide, with regular deliveries to London, Birmingham and Wales.
The game runs from a standard home 13A socket for the inflator. No mains where it's going? We can bring one of our petrol blowers or diesel generators too.

Suitable surfaces
Indoors on artificial grass or hard floors, outdoors on grass or hard standing. It isn't suitable outdoors on concrete, mixed grass and hard surfaces, or wood chip.

From our Rotherham/Sheffield base next to the A1, M1 and M18 we cover the whole of the UK, including the North East. South Yorkshire is home ground, West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester are on the doorstep, and larger packages regularly go to London, Birmingham and Wales.
