Spider Mountain: scramble, climb, drop-slide
Spider Mountain is an 8 metre (26ft) scramble-net climbing structure. Climbers work their way up through a series of crisscrossed elastic levels, exploring different routes to the top. Once at the summit they take in the view, then drop down the attached slide for the ride back to ground level.
Up to 16 people can climb at once, with throughput of around 225 climbers per hour. That is the highest-throughput climbing activity in our fleet, and one of the highest in mobile event hire.
Spider Mountain suits mixed-age events better than a vertical wall. Children as young as three and adults scramble on the same structure at the same time, choosing their own route up. It is a popular centrepiece for school fun days, Scout and Guide camps, county shows, school rewards days and family fun days.
Two ways to hire it
- Option 1: Spider Mountain with drop slide. The scramble-net tower with a freefall drop slide at the summit. From £895 for a 3-hour hire, fully staffed.
- Option 2: Spider Mountain with climbing wall. As Option 1, plus a 2-person auto belay climbing wall set against the tower. Two climbers climbing the wall while the rest scramble. From £1,295 + VAT for a 3-hour hire.
Both options include trained supervising staff, self-contained power (no mains supply needed), setup and pack-down. Extra hours are £75 per hour.
