Our aluminium truss lectern is the conference podium you'll have seen at events up and down the country, and it's our most popular choice - stable, light enough for one person to carry into position, and up in a couple of minutes. When an event calls for something with more presence we also carry the Stunning Stainless Steel Truss Lectern. Both are our own stock, with hire from £30.
The reading surface is adjustable, takes a script, a tablet or a laptop, and discreet cable management keeps the microphone lead out of sight. Front panels come in clear acrylic, or branded with your logo and event design.
PA and microphones
A lectern on its own is only half the presentation, so we can also supply PA systems and microphones: wired handheld, lapel (lavalier), headset or podium-mounted. Our technicians will tune the system for clear speech and balanced sound on the day. Not sure how much PA the room needs? Tell us the venue and roughly how many people are coming, and we'll spec it.
Most lectern hires go out as a package - the lectern, a stage underneath, and a PA alongside. That was the setup at Maltby Vintage Gala in Rotherham, where our stage, PA and lectern ran a full day of live acts. We deliver across Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and the rest of the UK from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, with several runs a week to the NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, Telford and ExCeL London.
It's worth knowing how delivery minimums work before you enquire about a £30 item on its own: a minimum spend may apply depending on your location, and Friday to Sunday deliveries carry a £1,250 plus VAT minimum delivery spend. The usual answer is hiring the lectern with your stage or PA. Overnight hire is £25 extra if you want it in place for an early start, and all prices are plus VAT.
