Arcade Interactive Basketball

This is a proper arcade basketball machine: a UNIS Elite built by Universal Space, the kind of unit you meet in amusement arcades rather than a plastic garden toy. You might know it as a basketball shootout or a pop-a-shot. Behind the hoop, where a flat board would sit, a 49" LCD screen runs the scoring, the countdown and the animations while players fire small basketballs up the wood-effect lane against the clock.

Exhibition stands and trade shows are its natural home, though it turns up at freshers fairs, corporate fun days, product launches and charity fundraisers too. One player shoots at a time and the queue moves along nicely: the balls feed straight back down the lane, so nobody is chasing strays across the hall.

In-house branding

A printed bottom board is £95, and we keep it free of charge for your future events (it remains ours). Scoreboard branding is £29 for the top or £69 for a full front wrap. All branding is sticker transfers, suited to a single hire period. We wrapped the machine end to end for Rundles at one of their stands, so it read as part of the stand build. You'll want a clear floor space of about 5ft x 10ft for a unit measuring 3ft x 8.5ft and standing 8.5ft tall, so check the ceiling height in indoor venues before booking. Power is a standard 13A socket; if there's no power where you want it, our generators cover it. It sets up indoors or outdoors, on grass or hard standing.

We hire the basketball shootout out alongside Grab a Grand, Batak and Virtual Bowling. For head-to-head shooting, the Double Shot Basketball Game adds two hoops side by side, and the basketball inflatable suits outdoor fun days. As Anais, who books entertainment for Amazon's events, put it: "We have the best time at our events with some of the games and it makes planning events so much easier. We have used them for years here at Amazon events."

The machine lives in our own 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, a few minutes off the A1, M1 and M18, so Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield are easy runs and Leeds or Manchester aren't much further. We deliver UK wide for bigger packages, including the North East of England and Wales, with weekly trips to the NEC in Birmingham and ExCeL London, and every hire includes £5 million public liability insurance.
