Brownie Events and Activity Hire
Entertainment for Brownie units, district fun days and Girlguiding events, from a hall night to a summer fair. We bring age-appropriate kit, run it with our own staff, and scale it to the size of your unit.
Brownies are 7 to 10, so a unit event has to work for the youngest girl having her first go and the oldest wanting to beat her six. A disco dome or play bus works for the whole unit, while sumo suits, crazy golf or an assault course add a competition for the older end.
Most unit nights happen in a hall, and we plan around the room you already use. Laser quest needs a clear 12m x 12m, the Adrenaline assault course around 47ft x 16ft, and the disco dome about 16ft x 13ft with 11ft of headroom. If your unit meets in a church hall with a low ceiling or a narrow door, send the measurements and we will shortlist what fits.
What Brownie Units Book Us For
A unit night usually needs one activity for a two-hour meeting. Disco dome, sumo suits, crazy golf and face painting all fit a normal hall and need very little setting up.
Promise parties, end-of-term celebrations and district fun days usually want a bigger mix. We can run two or three items side by side, add fun food or a play bus, and build a simple rota so every unit gets a turn.
Fundraising fairs and community events often book us alongside other stalls. Play bus, bouncy castles, face painting and crazy golf suit families coming and going rather than a fixed programme.
Brownie-Friendly Kit
These are the six items Brownie organisers ask for most. Each one is our own equipment, delivered and collected by our crew.
Kids Disco Dome
A covered bouncy disco with Bluetooth sound and lights in the roof. £199 including VAT, and it fits a hall or garden.
Children's Sumo Suits
Padded suits, helmets and crash mats for two wrestlers. No power needed, just a 15ft square of floor. £149 including VAT.
Billy the Bull
Gentler than the full-size bull, for age 3 and up, with our operator controlling the speed. Three hours for £325.
9 Hole Crazy Golf
Nine roll-out holes with child and adult putters. Our staff lay it out and run it. £495.
Face Painting
A professional painter arrives with their own marquee, paints and chairs. About 10 to 15 faces an hour, £349.
Adrenaline Assault Course
Two lanes, 35ft of obstacles, then a climb and slide to the finish. Age 5 and up, £199 including VAT.
Also popular: laser quest for a big hall, the Mega Jungle play bus for a summer fair, and Spider Mountain for an outdoor district event. Older Brownies can add high ropes or bungee trampolines from age 6, and interactive archery from age 8. Fun food such as candy floss, popcorn and hot dogs, plus balloon modelling, works well for a party or fair.
Indoor Halls, Outdoor Fields and Sleepovers
A standard unit night fits in a hall, but not every item fits in every hall. The disco dome needs about 16ft x 13ft and 11ft of clear headroom, sumo suits need 15ft x 15ft, the Adrenaline course 47ft x 16ft, and laser quest 12m x 12m. Crazy golf is the most flexible: nine holes can be laid out in a sports hall, a long hall or an L-shape, because each hole is a separate piece.
Outdoor space opens up the play bus, Spider Mountain, the climbing wall and bungee trampolines. The play bus is almost 30ft long and needs vehicle access, while Spider Mountain and the trailer-mounted climbing wall need a field with room to manoeuvre. For a unit weekend or sleepover, we can set up the evening kit before the girls arrive and collect it the next morning.
Power is usually one standard socket per inflatable or game. If the hall has only one socket in the wrong corner, we bring extension leads rated for the job. If there is no power at all, we can add a generator.
How We Run a Brownie Event
On the night, our operator arrives early enough to build the kit, brief the girls and start on time. We bring the queue cards and reset each turn, so leaders can stay with the unit and handle first aid, snacks and lost cards.
If the promise ceremony, craft or closing circle has a fixed time, the activity slots fit around it. For a district event with several units, tell us the unit sizes and we will split the evening into equal rotations so sixes move together and nobody spends the night in a queue.
Spider Mountain moves about 225 climbers an hour, the climbing wall about 60, and laser quest runs short games with a quick turnaround. A unit of 20 to 30 gets several turns on a staffed item in two hours; a district event of 100 or more usually needs three to six activities.
Away from youth groups, we supply Amazon, Specsavers and the NHS. Google reviews put DB at 5/5 from 209+ ratings, and every inflatable has its PIPA test tag.

What Brownie Groups Say
The 259th Stephen Hill Scouts took four activities for 80 young people at their 70th anniversary celebration. Their report was that every Scout, Cub and Brownie had a brilliant four hours, which is the mix of ages and abilities we plan for at a unit or district event.
We have also been the lead activity supplier at Scoutastic, South Yorkshire's county camp, so the crew is used to keeping a queue of young people moving while leaders get on with the rest of the programme.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ages can use the equipment?
Brownies are 7 to 10. Spider Mountain and Billy the Bull start at age 3, the disco dome, sumo suits, crazy golf, play bus and face painting suit the whole unit, laser quest and the assault courses start at 5, bungee trampolines and high ropes at 6, and archery at 8. If your unit has a lot of seven-year-olds, leave archery for the older end or book it for a district event.
Will it fit in our hall?
Usually one or two items will. Send the room's length, width, ceiling height and door width, and we will check each item against them. The disco dome needs 11ft of headroom, laser quest needs a clear 12m x 12m, and the assault course needs 47ft x 16ft. Crazy golf and sumo suits are the easiest to fit into an awkward hall.
How much does a Brownie event cost?
Hall-friendly items start at £149 for children's sumo suits and £199 for the disco dome or Adrenaline assault course. Billy the Bull is £325, crazy golf £495, laser quest £599 and the play bus £695. A district event with several activities usually runs £1,500 to £5,000, priced on item count and hours.
Do you provide staff?
Yes, on the items that need an operator. Tell us which activities you are considering and we will confirm who supervises what before you book, so your leaders know what they are responsible for on the night.
What about power and weather?
Most items need one standard 13A socket, and we bring the leads. Outdoor bookings need a flat surface and vehicle access, and we will discuss a wet-weather plan before the event. If the forecast is poor, a hall-based disco dome or laser quest session can replace an outdoor activity.
Is there a youth group discount?
Yes. We offer youth-group pricing and a multi-day rate for Brownie, Guide and Scout bookings. Ask for the rate when you enquire rather than pricing each item from the website.
