Scout Camp Hire in Sheffield
Staffed activities for Sheffield Scout camps, district camps and county jamborees. We are twenty minutes from Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre, where we have supplied assault courses, climbing walls, segways and inflatables to South Yorkshire Scouts.
Hesley Wood, at Chapeltown on the northern edge of Sheffield, is one of the sites Sheffield and Barnsley district camps use most. We have taken the 100ft assault course there for South Yorkshire Scouts, run segways and inflatables at FreezerCamp, and supplied climbing walls, high ropes and inflatable games to district events on the same fields. The site has room for the larger courses, which is why it suits a county camp better than a school field.
Sheffield city sections also book us for hall-based activity nights and summer fun days. We deliver across S1 to S36, from the city centre out to Chapeltown and Stocksbridge. Laser quest wants a 12m square, the Adrenaline assault course about 47ft x 16ft, and the climbing wall needs vehicle access plus room to lower the trailer. Send the venue and we will tell you which items fit before you commit.
For a Sheffield camp above 100, four to six staffed activities running alongside each other is the usual format. The 120ft assault course and climbing wall handle the physical slots, laser quest and archery cover the queue between them, and Spider Mountain works for mixed ages because it starts at age 3.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Hesley Wood run take?
About 20 minutes via the M1 and A6135. We know the site access and have run the 100ft assault course and FreezerCamp there, so setting up on the fields is routine.
Can you work with Sheffield city centre venues?
Yes. Halls and sports centres work for laser quest, archery and the smaller assault courses. The climbing wall and Spider Mountain need outdoor space and vehicle access, so they suit Hesley Wood, Whiteley Woods or a school field.
How many Scouts can you keep busy in a day?
The climbing wall moves around 60 an hour and Spider Mountain around 225. For a camp of more than 100, book four to six activities and we will build the rotation.
What paperwork do Sheffield camps need?
A written risk assessment and method statement covering each item, sent ahead for the permit to camp, plus £5 million public liability cover and trained operators.
