A temporary fire point is one of those things marquee crews, site managers and event organisers always end up having to provide, and this is the mobile version - a wheeled stand with the kit on it, so you can put the fire cover exactly where it's needed rather than hard-wiring something in. It carries a 6kg dry powder and a 9 litre water extinguisher (both BS EN3), a battery-powered EVACUATOR call-point alarm with sounder and strobe, and the laminated signage to mark it out as a fire point. The extinguishers sit in a lockable, weatherproof cabinet, so it'll stand outside a marquee or on a car park without the kit taking a soaking.
It's the same unit the tool-hire trade lists as a site fire point for construction sites, factories, offices, showrooms, exhibition halls and concerts, and it's the spec most local authorities and venue H&S teams want to see on a temporary event. We've put them into marquees at summer fun days and alongside the generator gear on bigger corporate jobs where a hard-wired alarm isn't an option - works alongside a 20 kVA diesel generator, a bunded diesel tank and the rest of the generator and safety equipment line-up.
The trolley fits through a standard door, so it goes indoors at venues like the NEC or ExCeL as easily as out on a grass field. It's suitable on grass, concrete, hard standing, artificial grass indoors and on wood chip, so anywhere you'd realistically set an event up. Kit is owned in-house and ships from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse near the M1 and M18, with the same crew, the same van and the same £5 million public liability that covers the rest of the hire.
