Birthday Parties in Barnsley
Birthday parties in Barnsley with the rides, games and inflatables delivered from Rotherham in about 25 minutes. The borough's halls are honest community rooms with kitchens and car parks, and they take a surprising amount of kit. This page is for the parties that fill one.
For a single castle in the garden, the bouncy castle range is the simpler route. This page is for the birthdays with a hall, a guest list and more than one activity.
What we set up in Barnsley
Barnsley's party rooms are mostly village and community halls. Mapplewell & Staincross Village Hall has a 20m by 8.8m main hall with a 4m to 5m arched ceiling, which takes a disco dome but not the tallest inflatables. Darfield Community Centre has a main hall, bar lounge and kitchens; Brampton Bierlow Parish Hall has a dance floor and stage; St Andrew's at Bolton upon Dearne is the compact option for younger children.
The bigger outdoor option is the school and sports ground circuit, where the assault course, climbing wall and funfair rides have room. We have delivered to Barnsley College events and council fun days across the borough, and the same crew covers the halls and the fields.
Barnsley halls that take a party
These are the Barnsley venues we know well enough to plan around, including the ceiling heights that decide which inflatables fit.
Barnsley's halls vary more than the list suggests. Some have low ceilings and narrow doors; others have a stage and a big open floor. Send the room measurements and we will pick the inflatables and games that fit, rather than the ones that look best on the website.
What fits a Barnsley hall
Primary-age. The Mapplewell ceiling is the constraint: a disco dome and soft play fit, but the taller inflatables do not. Put the Adrenaline course on the field or in a sports hall and keep the hall for the dome, fun food and a balloon modeller.
Secondary-age. A Barnsley teen party usually takes the dance machine and the 360 booth, with the Batak wall for the ones who want a scoreboard. If the hall has the length, laser quest is the bigger draw. Check the ceiling before the sweeper.
40th and up. A Barnsley 40th or 50th usually wants the bull, a photo booth and a hot tub, with the funfair package if there is a field. The pub or club function room is the usual setting, and the hot tub goes to the house the next day.
Kit that works here
The Barnsley card is built around the halls: dome and soft play for the low ceilings, sports-hall and field kit for the bigger spaces. The kit comes from our own racks.
Kids Disco Dome
The dome that fits the Mapplewell ceiling: sound, roof lights and a bounce floor. £199 including VAT.
laser quest
Phasers, fog and tablet scoring inside a 12m square. The sports halls take it. £599 plus VAT.
Adrenaline Assault Course
The 35ft two-lane course with a climb and slide finish. The lowest-priced headline that still feels like a proper course. £199 including VAT.
Space, power and weather
The older Barnsley halls have low ceilings and narrow doors, so measure before you book the big inflatables. The sports halls and fields take the assault course and climbing wall. Outdoor sites need a generator; the halls are socket-friendly.
Why a multi-item birthday books better
A Barnsley party with several items should not need three suppliers and three delivery windows. We bring the lot on one run, set it up together, and leave one risk assessment with the hall. The committee deals with one company, not a rota of them. We have traded since 1999 and carry £5 million public liability. The same crew works for Amazon, Specsavers and Red Bull, the inflatables are PIPA tested annually, and our Google rating is 5/5 from more than 200 reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the prices for a Barnsley party?
Budget from the activity, not the guest count. The Adrenaline course is £199 including VAT, the disco dome is the same, laser quest is £599 and the dance machine is £495. Most Barnsley parties with three items land between £900 and £1,800 plus VAT; the Bootcamp course pushes it higher.
Do you deliver to Barnsley?
We come up the A61 or M1 J36 from Rotherham, usually in 25 minutes. The whole borough is covered by our own vans. The quote covers delivery, setup and collection, not just the drop.
Which Barnsley venues suit a birthday?
Mapplewell, Darfield, Brampton Bierlow and St Andrew's are the halls we know. Mapplewell has the best ceiling for a disco dome; the sports halls and fields suit the bigger kit.
Can you work around a low ceiling?
Yes. We will swap a tall inflatable for a lower one, or move the activity outdoors. Send the ceiling height and door width and we will shortlist the kit before you book.
When should we book a Barnsley party?
Book the summer Saturdays and December dates early. Ordinary mid-week Barnsley dates are comfortable at two to three weeks. If you want a big course plus staff, give us three to four weeks.
What Barnsley Customers Say
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We had the Total Wipeout and the Assault Course for our daughters birthday. The kids loved it (and the big kids) and Kane was brilliant with them. Easy to book and thoroughly professional throughout- would definitely highly recommend.
We hired a hot tub for my daughters birthday. Brilliant service. Thank you DB.
