Birthday Parties in Doncaster
Birthday parties in Doncaster with the scale to use the Racecourse, the rugby club or a proper function room. We bring the rides, games, inflatables and photo booths from Rotherham, set them up, and staff the pieces that need an operator. This page is for the parties with a guest list, not a single castle in the garden.
If you only need a bouncy castle for the garden, Bouncy Castle Hire Doncaster is the better page. This one is for the birthdays that need a venue, several items and a crew.
What we set up in Doncaster
Doncaster's venues range from a village hall to a 3,400 square metre exhibition hall. The racecourse takes a full funfair build, Castle Park has 22 acres and nine suites, Armthorpe has a sprung wooden floor, Victoria Hall has a stage and 200 seats, and Barnburgh is the smaller village option.
For a child's party, the community halls are the right scale. For a milestone, the racecourse and the rugby ground give you a bar, catering and parking, and the kit can be a rodeo bull, a funfair ride, a photo booth and a DJ rather than a bouncy castle. We have run staff and family fun days at the racecourse and delivered across the DN postcodes regularly.
Doncaster venues for a birthday
These are the Doncaster venues we know well enough to plan around, from a 60-person village hall to a 3,400 square metre exhibition hall.
- Doncaster Racecourse - the Lazarus Exhibition Hall is 3,400 square metres for up to 3,000 seated, with around 40 meeting rooms and suites.
- Castle Park - Doncaster Rugby Club - 22 acres, nine event suites, licensed bars and a 350-seat Millennium Suite, four miles from the city centre.
- Armthorpe Community Centre - a main hall with a sprung wooden floor, air conditioning, a lounge bar and 32 parking spaces.
- Victoria Hall - a Victorian hall in Hatfield for up to 200 theatre-style, with a stage, kitchen and ground-floor loading.
- Barnburgh Village Hall - a smaller village hall for around 60 guests, with a kitchen, parking and a music licence.
- Chestnut View Communal Hall - a community hall in Carcroft, six miles north of town, used for children's birthdays and family celebrations.
If your venue is not here, it does not rule it out. Doncaster has church halls, sports club rooms, pub function rooms and school halls that all take birthday kit. The measurements that matter are the ceiling, the door width and the clear floor area, and we can work from those.
The Doncaster party plan
Younger guests. The community-hall version is a disco dome plus soft play, with the Adrenaline course in the sports hall or outside. Armthorpe's sprung floor is kind to inflatables; Victoria Hall's ceiling takes a castle and slide combo.
Teenagers. Doncaster teens get the racing simulator and the dance machine, plus the 360 booth for the group clips. The Last One Standing works on a hard floor or grass, so it suits both the community halls and the outdoor sites.
18th and beyond. For a Doncaster 18th or 21st, the bull and the AI booth are the core. For a 30th or 40th, add Last One Standing and the High Striker. The racecourse and the rugby ground are the two venues that can take the full funfair build.
Kit that works here
Doncaster bookings split between the community halls and the big venues. The cards below cover both, and the Racecourse or Castle Park order uses the same stock.
Bootcamp 220ft Mega Assault Course U Turn
The 220ft Bootcamp course with staff. It suits the Racecourse grounds and the bigger school fields, and it is the headline for a family fun-day-style birthday. From £1,695 plus VAT.
Last One Standing / Wipeout
The wipeout sweeper with eight podiums. Indoor or outdoor on hard standing or grass, and a natural fit for a teen or adult party. From £595 plus VAT.
Rodeo Bull / Bucking Bronco
The rodeo bull with one of our operators. Ages 10 and up, and a natural centrepiece for Doncaster 18ths and 40ths. From £395 plus VAT.
Kids Disco Dome
A dome with sound and lights built in, sized for a community hall. It suits Armthorpe, Barnburgh and Chestnut View. £199 including VAT.
Laser Quest
A 12m-square laser arena with fog and electronic scoring. The sports halls and the larger suites are the right fit. £599 plus VAT.
dance machine
Two pads and one socket. The dance machine is the item that keeps the teen party in the function room. £495 plus VAT.
AI Photo Booth
Studio-style AI photos printed on site. A strong milestone add-on for the Racecourse and Castle Park suites. From £695 plus VAT.
Ultimate High Striker
The fairground strength tester with a bell at the top. A funfair item for a milestone with outdoor space, and one that gets the adults competing. From £795 plus VAT.
Space, power and weather
The big venues have power and loading bays; the village halls need a socket check. The racecourse and Castle Park have outdoor space for rides and generators; the community halls are indoor kit only. Tell us the venue and we will match the power plan.
Why a multi-item birthday books better
The big-venue bookings need the paperwork to match the venue; the community halls need a risk assessment and a crew that knows the doors. Both come from the same booking, and the kit travels on one vehicle. That is the practical reason to put the whole party on a single order. We have supplied Doncaster Racecourse, Doncaster College and Amazon's Doncaster sites. The company has traded since 1999, carries £5 million public liability, and holds a 5/5 Google rating from more than 200 reviews. The inflatables are PIPA tested annually.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much should we budget for Doncaster?
The community-hall version is the cheaper one: disco dome or Adrenaline at £199 including VAT, laser quest at £599, dance machine at £495. The Racecourse-scale version with a rodeo bull, High Striker, AI booth and staff is a different budget, usually £2,000 to £3,500 plus VAT.
Do you deliver to Doncaster?
The DN postcodes are a regular run from Rotherham, including the Racecourse, Castle Park and the villages. Our own vehicles do the delivery, build and collection, and the price includes all three.
Can you work at the Racecourse or Castle Park?
Yes. Both have the access, power and outdoor space for the bigger kit, and we have run staff and family events at the Racecourse. Tell us the suite or field when you enquire.
Do your staff come with the kit?
The Racecourse and Castle Park bookings usually take staff on the bull, High Striker, laser quest and booth. Community-hall bookings often take the handover version. Tell us which you want and the quote will show it.
What is the lead time for a Doncaster party?
Race days and December are the busy ones. A mid-week community-hall date is usually fine at two to three weeks. A Racecourse or Castle Park build with several items wants four to six weeks.
